Summer Intro Vasque Trail run

The Vasque Summer Intro Trail Run is in the books now and wow what an event it was! Pre-registration saw numbers for our little race at about 45 or so with another 10 entries coming at packet pick up held at Gary Gribbles on Friday before the race. Saturday morning, we had another 50 sign up to put us at 105 entrants for this 10k 'ish race in the Shawnee Mission Park trails.













The rain the night before made the trails a little muddy, but it wasn't enough to dampen anyones' spirits. Everyone had a great time and we even saw some impressive times for this 6.5 mile run in slippery conditions!
Dick Ross came out to photograph the event and we had Ty Stevens representing our title sponsor Vasque while putting in an impressive performance as well.

The participation was a little larger than we had anticipated, but race director Kyle Amos handled everything in stride with the help of some willing and flexible volunteers.
