Veteran's Day Trail Run
This last weekend, seven of us (including Josh, Steve, Good Ben, Kyle, Caleb, Devin and me) worked on clearing leaves and fallen branches for the trail run coming up this next weekend:
11/11/2006 (Sat)
Veteran's Day Trail 10K
Shelter 10, Wyandotte County Lake Park
Kansas City, KS
8:00 AM
*6 Points* toward the Kansas City Trail Nerds Series
Sign-up the day of race
$8 entry fee, SHOW UP AND ENTER DAY OF RACE, ONLY
Checks to: Kansas City Track Club
If you want a shirt, it's only $8.
VETERANS & ACTIVE-DUTY RUN FOR FREE.
Directions to Shelter #10, Wyandotte County Lake, and where we will park:
From I-435 (West side of Metro), take the Leavenworth Rd exit. Head east, then take a left at N 91st St (you will see a sign); take a LEFT at West Drive when entering the park. You will travel for about 1 or 2 miles and then pull into the lot of SHELTER # 10.
Porta-let is available in parking lot.
Web
It should be a fun time on a challenging little course. The Autumn colors will be in their last throes, and the weather will be "trailrunning weather," to be sure.
SPECIAL NOTE:
When you enter the park, PLEASE DRIVE THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT.
We want this to be a safe experience for everybody.
See you there!
